HAMILTON JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 6
Tuesday, August 27: The LJHS Eagles were able to halt a five game skid Tuesday night with an 11-6 win over Hamilton. Jacob Davis led the way offensively for the Eagles, going 2-4 with 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, and 4 stolen bases. Jackson Sims and Connor Riley also had multi-hit, multi-hit RBI games, with Jarred Owens adding two RBI.
Davis began the day on the mound, going two innings, striking out three. Jarred Owens (1-0) came on in relief to get the win, throwing three strong innings, without allowing an earned run and striking out six. Gavin Fessler pitched the final two frames, striking out five.
The Eagles return to action Thursday in Mt. Sterling against Brown County. Friday, Liberty travels to Kinderhook to square off against Western and Saturday they return home to greet Brown County again.
